Tuesday October 25
Great day today. Woke up early to check in for 6:30 am airline flight if you know how Southwest works you know that 24 hours before flight you check in. Well my fit bit is still on Michigan time so I am sitting in front of the computer at 330 in the morning and Monica wakes up and thinks I am sleep walking. I thought it was 630 but really 330. Sucks man.
Needless to say we got an early start today.
Beautiful here where we are staying. The Dana On Mission Bay. Orbitz deal but one of the best places that we have stayed. If you were going to visit San Diego I would highly recommend staying here and going on the trains and trolly's around to all the great places to visit. This is located in a harbor marina so all kinds of things to do with plenty to see.
We went to another National Park here called the Cabrillo National Monument, Naval Base and Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery. Very beautiful and very military. I am a patriot! Due mostly to my dad Mel. Anything military I have a huge respect and feel privileged to be part of this country and the wonderful job our military and our soldiers do to protect and provide......

Our group of new friends from being stranded on the Coaster Train. These folks wouldn't even look you in the eye when we first saw them on this train car.
After a couple hours together we were like family. Fun stuff

San Clemente, San Diego, and the great train and trolly ride

Drove North to San Clemente on Sunday and did some shopping and had dinner at a neat little sports bar so we could watch the Lions. Another Nail biter.....
Didn't our previous president Gerald Ford move here after he left Grand Rapids or after his presidency on sometime? Does anyone know the answer to this one? This is a very neat Oceanside town on cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean
Monday decided to adventure on the Coaster Train to San Diego downtown and outskirts in each direction. Checkout Old Town San Diego. We were heading to Little Italy which is right in the downtown area and there was an announcement that there had been a shooting by the tracks, North of us on way back home to Oceanside and the train would be delayed. Sooooo we ended up sitting on this train with a car full of people from all walks of life that we became friends with and created a temporary bond that turned to be fun and enlightened all. Ended up with a 10 pm dinner (1am Michigan time)

OCEAN SIDE-HARBOR

Saturday October 22
Relaxing day today. Out for breakfast at local eatery. Beach day. Then clean up for a nice dinner in the harbor area where all the marinas and nice restaurants are located. Our Airbnb owner, Crystal is the bar tender here and recommended our dinner spot. Very good seafood. We really enjoyed this dinner. Can't hardly move because we ate so much....but we are happy

Pier at the beach

 Part of our dinner

This is at one of the marina's. Seals sitting on the empty docks. If you look real close you  can see a seal on the back of the boat on the right. Talked to a guy that leaves his boat here and he said that he has to leave his dock box on the back of his boat so the seals don't hop on. Crazy
 Restaurant that we had dinner.

TRIP TO OCEANSIDE

Friday October 21
Took all day to get an hour north to Oceanside, Ca. Stopping along the way sight seeing. Very beautiful Oceanside town. Everything in California seems to growing and prospering. So many people, so busy, so alive, surfers and skateboarders coming out of the  seams......
